Points of Distinction
SJSU’s Masters of Urban Planning is one of only two accredited masters programs in Northern California. Founded in 1970, our program has thousands of alumnae working in planning across a variety of sub-disciplines including transportation, land-use, community and economic development, and environmental planning. Our program is highly flexible and aimed at serving working students throughout the Bay Area. We offer seven advanced graduate certificates in conjunction with our MUP, allowing students to further specialize in fields such as GIS, real estate development, and affordable housing finance, among others.
