Dr. Vanessa Deane investigates the political economy of climate change and disasters, primarily in small island developing states. She is currently exploring the adaptive capacity of select French Caribbean nations through a climate justice framework. In 2022, she was a Visiting Professor of Urban Planning at Université Sorbonne in Paris.
