Victoria Morckel is a nationally regarded scholar in the area of land use planning for legacy/shrinking cities. Her research addresses ways to improve quality of life in deindustrialized cities in the Midwestern United States, with an emphasis on issues of vacancy, blight, and neighborhood change.
