My topical areas of interest include housing, land use regulation, municipal annexation, urban informality, inequality, and residential segregation. I rely primarily on quantitative methods, including machine learning, and enjoy developing innovative approaches for answering difficult questions. As an instructor, I emphasize data fluency, critical thinking and evidence-based writing and argumentation.
