About Mi Shih
Mi’s research involves two areas. Building on ethnographic methods, she examines peri-urbanization in China with a focus on the role of the state, displacement, and social conflicts over land development. Employing mixed methods, the second area examines land development techniques, the politics of land and value, and equity in Taiwan.Areas of Expertise
