About Francis Owusu
Dr. Owusu is a Professor of Community and Regional Planning and a faculty member in the Graduate Program in Sustainable Agriculture. His research focuses on globalization and development policy, institutional capacity building, natural resources management, and urban and economic development issues.

Recent Courses Taught
Dr. Owusu teaches graduate and undergraduate classes on international development, globalization, cities, and planning methods. He has advised many master's and Ph.D. students. He has won several teaching awards, including the 2023 IUS Award for Inclusive Excellence, the Memorable Teacher Award in 2007, and the Polster Teaching Award in 2006.
